About Me

I’m still poking around the riverbed, turning over rocks, seeing what sparkles. I’m just sharing what I pick up along the way.

I’m someone who likes to think about things with meaning, and I write because it helps me reflect and learn as I go. I like the quiet moments when an idea finally lands, or when a question turns out to be more interesting than the answer. I’ve found that even the small, ordinary details—like a song on the radio, a moment of stillness, or a half-remembered story—can have more meaning than originally thought. I write to share what I find.

Regarding Gen. AI. and my writing process:

Generative AI is here, and I’m not using it to replace what I do. I’m using it to keep my momentum, test half-baked ideas, and get unstuck.

When they came out with word processors, my penmanship finally got a break.

When they came out with computers, my analytical skills improved.
When they came out with the internet, I stopped praying the book I needed was on the shelf.

When they came out with spell check, I could now spell “beautiful” on the first try.
When they came out with email, I could get feedback without setting up an appointment.

When they came out with search engines, I didn’t have to flip through card catalogs for one article.

When they put journals online, I was able to skim, eh, read about more ideas.

When they came out with grammar checkers, I didn't have to rewrite so much.

When they came out with online course platforms, I found that I had more time to learn.

Technology has never replaced my voice. It just helps me hear it, shape it, and get it out there.
